In order to meet the various requirements that come with trips around the world, Apidura has developed frame bags for three areas of application:
- Expedition: The Expedition Series frame packs offer optimal utilization of the frame triangle. You can rely on these bags even on trips lasting several weeks.
- Racing: The Racing Series frame packs are ultra light and very quick to access.
- Backcountry: The frame packs of the Backcountry series are particularly robust and optimized for modern MTB geometries.
All Apidura frame bags are welded waterproof and keep your equipment safe, clean and dry.
The big advantage of frame bags when bikepacking
There are good reasons why a frame bag should be an integral part of your bikepacking setup. Because there is no more effective way to keep your bike's center of gravity low and on a narrow center plane at the same time. The main triangle of a bicycle frame is a large area of space that frame bags utilize efficiently, creating the rare combination of high volume storage with low impact on riding performance.
Maintaining a low center of gravity is crucial for every cyclist. However, this is particularly important in the heavier configuration of a touring bike, especially given the unpredictable terrain that is unavoidable on long-distance rides.
Ideas for content
Frame bags are ideal for transporting heavier, bulkier equipment. These include, for example, compact food (such as spaghetti), a drinking bladder, tent poles, tools, electrical devices, spare parts, hygiene supplies or a first aid kit.
