Der digitale Luftdruckprüfer Airmax Pro ist sehr präzise. Er misst Drücke bis maximal 11 bar und ist geeignet für Auto- und Sclaverandventile. Auch beim klassischen Fahrradventil funktioniert die Luftdruckmessung, allerdings nur in Verbindung mit dem Schwalbe Ventileinsatz.
Empfehlung des Herstellers: Prüfe den Reifendruck mindestens einmal pro Monat mit einem Manometer. Die weit verbreitete Überprüfung per Daumendruck ist sehr unzuverlässig. Bereits bei der Hälfte des notwendigen Drucks fühlen sich die meisten Reifen stramm an. Unzureichender Luftdruck ist bei Fahrrädern weit verbreitet. Das Resultat sind drastisch erhöhter Rollwiderstand und starker, vorzeitiger Verschleiß der Bereifung.
